Biography
The thing that characterizes Rooftop Sailors above all: A live performance in which tightness and wildness share the throne. Catchiness is combined with powerful riffs and charismatic voices in a fresh way, so that the audience is challenged to surrender to the uniqueness of the moment. The joy of playing is written all over the faces of the four lads from Thun as they pound the stage into the ground. Modern Rock with walk-like-a-badass attitude.
After a tour through Germany and England (2018) and numerous openairs in Germany and Switzerland, the band’s constant presence landed them gigs at e.g. the Gurtenfestival 2019 or the “Rock & Blues Cruise” 2022, and led to regular airplay on various radio stations like SRF3, Rete Tre and Couleur 3.
During the global pandemic, the band from Thun did not become inactive at all – on the contrary:
Rooftop Sailors released their debut album “Kaleidoscope” on Nov. 5, 2021. The album encapsulates
the world as seen through the eyes of these four young adults and what impact it has on them. With
badass attitude, the album describes the romanticized view of the contrasts of our time.
Social-critical lyrics with (almost) too much coolness – translated to music as riffy Swagger Rock,
with the aim of stirring up the music scene.
