Drawing on the roots of the genre as well as on the surrounding atmosphere and social situation, ZonaSun plays a roots and, at the same time, modern reggae music, with a special care to melody, conscious lyrics and experimentation. The vibe is most of all sunny (which fully mirrors the name of the band) but also mystic, expressive and dragging.
In 2003, beginning as a duo, starts the ZonaSun project. The lyrics, partially written in Italian and partially in English, go with reggae/ragga riddims created with samplers and sequencers. However, the final aim of the project has always been that of creating a tight-knit cheery band that could be musically complete and could give to the songs that certain vital energy that usually streams from live played instruments. That’s how, in 2004, ZonaSun becomes an effective reggae band.
Lead voice, back vocals, keyboards; guitar, bass, drums, sax, flute and electronic sound effects are the ingredients that contribute to create the typical sound of ZonaSun.
In 2006 the group participated to the final round of the “European Raggae Contest” at “Rototom Sun Splash festival“ (Italy) and in 2008, the crowd and the professional jury of “Palco ai giovani” contest in Lugano (Switzerland) have honoured ZonaSun with the first place.
Finally, in May 2008, ZonaSun also released his first album called “Subliminal Love”, with 9 original songs and a dub remix. Some of the songs are also playing on swiss radios. This first album marks an important step in the growth of the band, which is now working on his second studio CD, announced for the second half of 2010.
The feeling is that now ZonaSun has acquired the potential and the needed experience – in 2009 the band played on the stage of “Winter Splash” in Venezia (Italy), “La Fête de la Musique” in Lausanne (Switzerland), “Démon D’Or Festival” in Lyon (France) and “Reeds Fetival” in Pfäffikon (Switzerland) – to step into the Swiss reggae scene and spread out musical vibes even abroad.

Jah Bone Kageme - The Majestic Force, connu sous le nom de Darius Rourou, neuchâtelois d'origine rwandaise, il se produit en concert depuis 15 ans. Il prêche l'amour en appel au respect de droits humains dans une tournée baptisée «Love campaign Tour».
