Biographie
Mannequine einer bestimmten Sparte zuzuordnen dürfte schwierig werden. Am wohlsten fühlt sich das Schweizer Produzenten Duo allerdings im Nu-Disco Bereich. Auch wenn dieser Begriff doch schon etwas veraltet ist, haben sie ihn mitgeprägt. Freundschaften mit «The Magician», «Moullinex», «Xinobi» und viele weitere haben geholfen sich im internationalen Musikmarkt einen Namen zu machen. Prompt wurde auch das Englische Indiependent Label «Continental Records» auf sie aufmerksam und so erschien ihre erste Single: «Bombay Night Story» im Jahre 2013, zusammen mit Jas Crw, ein Hip-Hop Trio ebenfalls aus der Schweiz. Das Musikvideo zum Song feierte Premiere bei Vice & Thump und verhalf Mannequine zu einem renommierten Platz auf diversen Editorial Spotify Playlists rund um den Globus. Für Continental Records remixen & releasen sie seither fleissig weiter.
Nach vielen Club Nights und DJ Gigs, unter anderem für das Label Kitsuné, möchten sie sich nun wieder mehr der Musikproduktion widmen. Auch wenn der letzte Release (Remix für Benjamin Amaru & Shelter 12 erschienen im Dezember 2020) noch Wellen schlägt, wie z.B. «Song Of The Week» beim nationalen Radion SRF 3/Virus, haben sie bereits mehrere Singles in Peto und können es kaum erwarten diese der Öffentlichkeit zu zeigen. Ein Musikvideo ist ebenfalls geplant. 2021 soll ja bekanntlich alles anders sein, mit dieser Motivation gehen die zwei Jungs ihren Weg und dürften schon bald 10 erfolgreiche Jahre zusammen feiern.

It might be difficult to assign Mannequine to a certain genre. However, the Swiss producer duo feels most comfortable in the Nu-Disco realm. Even if this term is already somewhat outdated, they have influenced it. Friendships with "The Magician", "Moullinex", "Xinobi" and many others have helped to make a name for themselves in the international music market. Soon the English independent label "Continental Records" became aware of them and released their first single: "Bombay Night Story" in 2013, together with Jas Crw, a hip-hop trio also from Switzerland. The music video for the song premiered on Vice & Thump and helped Mannequine earn a prestigious spot on various Editorial Spotify playlists around the globe. They have been remixing & releasing diligently for Continental Records ever since.
After many club nights and DJ gigs, such as for the label Kitsuné, they now want to dedicate themselves more to music production again. Even though their last release (remix for Benjamin Amaru & Shelter 12 released in December 2020) is still making waves, like "Song Of The Week" at the national radio SRF 3/Virus, they already have several singles in the works and can't wait to show them to the public. A music video is also planned. In 2021, as is well known, everything should be different, with this motivation, the two guys go about their way and should soon celebrate 10 successful years together., Zürich
