Who is „Ra Elle“?
Rahel Richner is born 1976 in Zurich. Singing is already early her passion. In 1984 she had her first, public appearance at a school in the USA.
Rahel makes her apprenticeship as a commercial employee with Jecklin & CO. in Zurich. She attains professional experience mainly in the music and financial sector. She sees her future in a position, which permits her to use her skills and strengths in communication and organizational development.
At the age of 9 years, Rahel begins classical piano training. She practices very hard and makes progress fast. However, with 14 years she wants to concentrate on her voice and gives the piano playing up. She takes classical singing lessons, which finally do not appeal to her. 6 years later she continues to train her voice at the FeMale Funk Project Vocal Performance School. Afterwards various singing trainings with Renee Rousseau, Carmen Oswald and Cathryn Lehmann took place. With help of producers, 22 years old Rahel writes and composes her first song. Further music pieces follow: she writes the lyrics, creates ideas for singing melodies and Backing Vocals. She is also involved in arranging songs.
Rahel gathers a lot of music experience through various music projects, as a member of the Lady Group "Moonflowers" and in the establishment of a new Band. Her highlights are the 2nd place in the final of "Best Of-Spungbrett Prix Walo 1997" with the Moonflowers, the demo Label Contract with Sony Music Switzerland in 2000 and winning the weekly contest of "Stargovia" on radio Argovia in 2007 as the singer of Playmode.
Rahel can always be pleased over complements like „black “or „soul“ - voice. Even comparisons with Celine Dion or Melanie Thornton are made.
Rahel would like to have a versatile repertoire and be publicly present through her songs, in order to receive musical commitments and appearances. Actually, no other gigs are planned, she hopes however in the future to increase her stages.
Aged sixteen, Rahel takes up for the 1st time in professional recordings in the studio of radio DRS for the transmission „Looping“. After that, work orders for radio advertising spots follow from the company Jingle Jungle AG. Beside several studio projects (one has even received the attention of Sony Music Switzerland) she appeared as a Backing Vocal Singer for "Cool Man" (Peter Steiner), Big Brother Switzerland’s winner Daniela and Suel Fernandez.

What means music for you?
Rahel invests much into her music. She would give up her safe job for it only, if a certain, regular income exists. With her lyrics she would like to be as authentic as possible, so that one perhaps partly recognizes oneself as a listener, in which one something similar or the same situation experienced. Her dream is it to attain a certain degree of fame that would make possible to work with various big sizes from the music industry in music together.
Which music style fits you best?
Rahel is shaped of Pop and R&B of the 90's. Her voice fits to Pop, Soul, Jazz, House and Trance. Her singing models are Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Lisa Stansfield, Vanessa Williams, Shanice, EN Vogue and Toni Braxton.
One of her favorite songs is „Make It Happen" from Mariah Carey. It concerns to believe in oneself and to never give up. As a career model she sees to Aaliyah, since she worked hard for her success and she nevertheless didn’t take off. Aaliyah’s clear voice, her unusual stage presence and her noble kind, still fascinates Rahel.
