I love electronic music, and the challenge was to create a concept where the "programmed aspect" of machines easily blend with live keyboard playing. - I like the idea of performance when playing music, and only launching clips annoys me. - I want to make people understand what I am doing, what happen when I tweak that knob or play that note. Electronic live acts need to be more visual. Often, the only moment when party people know that an Artist is "live"... is when it is written on the flyer. - Then, the one who plays live seems to be reading e-mails in front of his computer and no one makes a different between DJ set and live act."
My name is Santis, I am a musician, producer, and DJ, Santis's musical career started with piano in a classical music school of Geneva. A rapid turn into improvisation and jazz led him then focus on musical arrangement theory at the School of Music Technology in Geneva. Alongside this multi-horizon background, the solid relationship between live-playing and programmed electronic music has always been there.
