Biography
SCARLET'S FALL is an experimental electro-pop duo formed by Ruth Childs (British/ American performance artist/singer/dancer based in Geneva) and Stéphane Vecchione (Drummer from Velma/musician/composer/performance artist based in Lausanne) in 2014. They like to define themselves as electro/minimal/girlie/dirty/kitchen/pop. They mix catchy melodies with repetitive looping, layers of cinematographic sound design, groovy beats, fragile vocals and provacative texts. To accompany their music they also propose a unique visual universe of playfully ironic and poetic photos and music videos: http://www.scarlettsfall.com. Their first DIY album of 12 tracks, entitled Scarlett's Fall, was released in 2014 on vinyl and cassette. Since the duo has been compared to groups such as CAN, Broadcast, Young Marble Giants and has been invited to support well-know artists in concert like Tricky, Peaches, and Anika. There second album, "Scarlett's Scared" will be released on the 28th of April 2017 by Mental Groove Records.
