Back in 2016, when Julian and Michael were engaged in a band called Malum Innatum, Julians interest for Doom Metal increased. As he wanted to get some more experience with the guitar and finally release his inner doomster, he started looking for new bandmates for a side project. After months of searching, Roman contacted him as an experienced Doom Metal musician and asked his ex-bandmate Roger (Holepunch), if he would like to join in for a jamsession. As the three musicians got along very well, they decided to stick together and form a band. The name "Shrines of Dying Light" was used as a inofficial project name first - and as everyone liked it, they decided to make it the band name. Finding a drummer was a hard task and noone seemed to be interested. But as Malum Innatum split up in November 2016, Michael joined the band. Shrines of Dying Light is now complete and working on their first full-length album "Insomnia".
Shrines of Dying Light are officially looking for gigs in Switzerland (Aargau/Zurich/Luzern area) for 2018.
