With songs like "I Feel Like Dancing", "So Proud of You" and "Bring It On Home to Me", Lee Everton took the stage in 2007 with a new style. His debut album "Inner Exile" was deeply rooted in reggae, with its laid-back groove, weighty bass lines, and rhythmic guitars and keyboards. But elements from other musical styles such as folk music, blues and soul also flowed into his music. The rhythm guitar played a funky groove, the drums were reminiscent of African djembe beats and the electric piano added soulful texture.
His self-produced debut album was a surprise hit. Over the next few years, Lee Everton released his second album "Sing a Song for Me" in 2009, played numerous live shows across Europe and Japan and worked with many local artists in his recording studio.
In 2010, however, Lee Everton took an extended break from music. After intense years he was exhausted. And when the house that housed his studio was demolished, a new adventure began: he and his wife had started brewing and bottling organic craft lemonades in 2012. Demand grew quickly and it soon became almost a full-time job for both of them. And in 2017 they had a son. Everton remained connected to music and taught many students, but it wasn't until 2019 that he first hooked up his guitar to start recording new music again. Swiss singer Phenomden had asked him to record some ideas for his new album and soon the spark was rekindled and Everton began work on new songs.
