The label Bibomusic Classic presents this international production between Italy and the U.S., a chain of 12 pure pearls, as this album's songs, for all jazz and classic songs lovers. Guido Cergoli, born in Trieste in 1912, has been one of the most important Italian composers and orchestra directors. He worked intensively with the main recording and theatre companies, and was the director of orchestra of RAI, Italian National Radio Television Network. He has written all the arrangements of this extraordinary album, performed by his orchestra and by the singer and musician Liana Rotter, Italian-American, graduated with honors from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Liana Rotter has performed in operas, musicals and ballets, recitals and concerts in the States, and once moved to Italy, given her versatility as both singer and dancer, became "the queen of Operetta", performing soprano-soubrette roles for a number of years in the prestigious Teatro Giuseppe Verdi of Trieste, at the International Operetta Festival. After a career spent in theatres, of all the major Italian cities, national television and radio shows, she has returned to Las Vegas, where currently is a piano and voice teacher. She is a full member of NATS and MTNA. Liana Rotter is the daughter of concert pianist and music director Guido Rotter, director of the orchestra of RAI Trieste.
The originality of this album layis in its arrangements, personally written by Guido Cergoli for the voice of the singer, Liana Rotter, with the aim to evoke moods, emotions of the American style of the era. The recording was made in Rome with the participation of some of the finest jazz musicians of the RAI orchestra, like Massimo Morriconi, Maurizio Majorana, Ludovico Fulci, Roberto Podio, and Guido Cergoli as pianist and conductor, under the executive production by Sandro Turello, entrepreneur and professional musician, with his Vegas Productions. Final production and mastering with the participation of Violin Outlet and Midy Works Studio of Las Vegas, NV, USA.
