Biography
Born and raised in Interlaken, a small village hidden in the Swiss alps, the love for music has always been Timon Lumière’s guiding light.
Influenced by pop icons such as Lady Gaga, Adele and Madonna, his musical color palette is shaped by artists like Hozier, Lisa Hannigan, Sam Smith, James Blake, Lana Del Rey and Elton John.
Storytelling lies at the heart of his songs - through his lyrics, Timon Lumière delves into chasms of the human mind, exploring paths leading from the shadows into the light. The predominantly acoustic arrangements emphasize his naturalistic approach to music.
Vocally, Timon Lumière offers a remarkable level of versatility. His singing showcases a broad range of expressions, effortlessly shifting from his characteristic soft, breathy sound to powerful crescendos, occasionally interrupted by moments of playful banter. Accompanying himself on the piano, he creates one-of-a-kind soundscapes, enriched by the use of delicate sus-chords and subtle fills.
Knowing what it’s like to struggle with anxiety and self-doubt, he is an advocate for mental health awareness. As a queer artist who used to be an outsider himself, Timon Lumière's music is meant to be a safe space for anyone who feels like they don’t belong.
He is currently finishing his degree in Popular Music in Berlin and preparing to launch into the music industry to share his songs with a broader audience. Having established himself as an artist in Berlin’s local scene, he has also performed sold-out shows in Switzerland.
His first single, 'Before I Knew You,' was released in 2023 and received several thousand streams across various streaming platforms. His new single, 'Heaven,' is set to be released on May 17th, with a corresponding EP scheduled for release this summer.
