It’s surprising to learn that at just 21 years old, Koch is already standing up against his much older and more experienced peers within the neo-classical and widescreen electronic musical space, to include acts as Olafur Arnalds, Ludovico Einaudi, Ulrich Schnauss, and Jon Hopkins.
Koch creates art without borders or constraints, blending styles and genres, taking inspiration from classical music, jazz, electronica and Middle Eastern music. Listening to artists from diverse cultures and backgrounds such as Tigran Hamasyan, Avishai Cohen, Erik Satie, Shai Maestro, Jon Hopkins or Bon Iver has played an important influence on Adriano’s music and has allowed him to blend their colors to his vocabulary.
Mixing the traditional acoustic piano with electronic instruments on stage, allowing him to create a rich and visual performance, to free himself from the restrictive labels of classical music, and to open up to a wider audience, he manages to gather together on the same stage, audiences who would not usually meet: classical music, jazz, and electronic music listeners.
