Biography

Skinny Fresh is a US Rap artist from Basel City. Although born in Switzerland he spent part time of his childhood in San Diego where he eventually was introduced to the world of Hip-Hop. He grew up in a very musical family and therefore has been influenced by all types of genres. His mother for instance is a pianist and gave face his first piano lessons. Furthermore she is a well-respected conductor of two choirs in Basel. His brother was a very successful bassist in the band Flashmob and graduated from the Bern University of the Arts.
When Skinny was ten years old he had already written his first couple of songs and three years later the known record label “q-lab” took notice of the young talent and offered him a record deal. Due to Skinny Fresh's perfectionism and his conviction of not being good enough yet, he declined to sign the contract and kept working on his skills. A couple of years later face performed his first live shows and amazed all types of crowds with his sound which contains lyrical finesse and beats inspired by classical music. In 2013 he met a Hip-Hop producer from Davos who didn't just become a close friend but also sky-rocked Skinny Fresh's music to another level. With this deadly combination contests were won, concerts ensured and rap fanatics satisfied.
