Biography
Just write "Lots of reverb and DIY" - that's what the Lucerne band Binary Sunset gave us for their press release. It's true, their music comes with a certain nonchalance, somewhere between 60s beat, surf and French protest rock - warm and euphoric, but also snotty and rough. They sing in French because they think it sounds nicer and better conveys a sense of urgency.
Characterised by the summer holidays: The chaotic car journeys in the back of the family car. Bizarre incidents in the car park of the popular summer beach and days when everything depends on the beautiful weather. Times when people let themselves drift and one or two mysterious events take place in the summer heat.
The Lucerne band Binary Sunset explores this and much more on their debut album ‘les grandes vacances’. The album will be released just in time for the start of summer on 21 June 2024.
