The Swiss ensemble Elephant Tree started establishing itself in the music scene of Canton Ticino in 2015 with its unusual but catchy Pop-Fusion. In the meantime the guitarist and the lead vocalist have left the band, which lead Elephant Tree to pursue a more ambitious, improvisation-based and instrumental genre. The ensemble distinguishes itself through the attention given to detail and the complexity of the compositions and the arrangements. The repertoire comprises both original pieces and rearranged covers.
The band has played at events and venues like Espo Ticino, MusicNet, Studio Foce (Lugano), Caffè Borgo (old town of Locarno), university bar Oops (Lugano) and Centro Esposizioni (Lugano). In addition, it has also participated in events in Neuchâtel and Bienne.
Elephant Tree is formed by young talents and music students. The current lineup is as follows:
