Biography

If you’ve ever taken a plane on a stormy day then you know how magical that moment of breaking through the clouds is, when you pass through the turbulent, oppressive grey and finally see the clear blue sky illuminated by the sun. Ellas, is very much about invoking these type of moments and steeping the listener in the tensions invoked by extremes, both emotional and sonic. This is music which, by design, amplifies the introvert’s voice to a Stadium–Pop type affect, framing the trials posed by a transient, troubled world with gorgeous, expansive songwriting.
