Since the very first day anno 1922, where over much wine, women and song they hatched the nasty plan to form themselves into a crude hard rock singing group, the same alt-rockers Fredi Volvo (Vocals), Pim Peter (Guitar), Lord Latex (Guitar), Marino Marroni (Bass) and Pascal Goodknight (Drums) belong to Gloria Volt. Soon their fifth record (admittedly a sparse discography within 100 years, but good things come to those who wait), the EP «100 Jahre» ("100 Years"), will be released. Like the previous records, this disc indulges in the most straightforward power rock. Live, the band performs their songs with punkish fervor, and is loved by the audience for it and gladly showered with beer. In addition to numerous headlining shows in Switzerland and Germany, Gloria Volt has played support shows for Motörhead, Billy Idol, Slash, Mötley Crüe, The Quireboys, Imperial State Electric, The Answer, Micheal Monroe, Rhino Bucket, Thunder, Valient Thorr, Peter Pan Speedrock, Nashville Pussy, Supersuckers and a bunch of others. In doing so, they always give rock 'n' roll back its due: Playing wit, energy, and passion - with melody and oomph. And they will never have enough. On to the next 100. Rock'n'roll forever!
