As a duo consisting of vocals, guitar and drums, L'Air Maureen play themselves directly into the musical hearts of those who like good songs forever and ever.
Somewhere between singer-songwriter and great Rock'n'Roll, the coarse-grained elegance of a rattling guitar is paired with a drum wrapped in the gentleness of love. Roli Strobel and Lukas Selinger test the simplicity of the duo formation with whimsically weird songs about the state of the local and international human condition. They feature characters dressed in rich colours who are on the dark side of life. At one point, everything sounds quiet to unexpectedly go loud.
A melodica can be heard, a wondrous melody hums dreamily away, accompanied only by the rhythmic buzz of a snare drum. And then, all of a sudden, all the dams break – it is music full of magic and pain.

You know this feeling, when the person you love is approaching you from afar and your heart starts to leap with joy, and you’re asking yourself: How can it be that we found each other, sometime, somehow in this chaos of life? How did you get here in the first place, and why to me, of all people? So soothing and warm, so grateful, so gracious and overwhelming. A terrific strike of goodness! But sometimes luck turns against us - suddenly with a hard impact.
Thus, the song wanders gently along the thin line between sleep and wakefulness, between dream and reality, without you ever being sure where you are.
