MERCEE is a singer, songwriter, musician, and artist based in Zurich and Madrid, whose Cuban-Italian roots deeply shape her artistic identity. Growing up multilingual, she developed an early connection to music, drawn to its colors and textures. Inspired by artists like Amy Winehouse, Frank Ocean, and Celia Cruz, she blends diverse styles into a distinctive sound.
Growing up between Millennial and Gen Z worlds, MERCEE sometimes feels caught between two generations. Her music reflects real-life experiences, often exploring themes of love, loss, and self-awareness. Switching naturally between English and Spanish, she represents a new generation of artists who are unapologetic, independent, and authentic in a world that always seems too loud.
In 2020, she was recognized by SRF 3 as Best Talent and by the Montreux Jazz Festival as an Artist to Watch, with her first radio play on BBC Radio 1.
With her EP "Venganza", MERCEE continues to showcase her versatility, exploring life’s highs and lows with honesty and passion. Performing both solo and with her band, she has graced stages at major festivals in Switzerland such as Openair Frauenfeld, Radar Festival, and Luzern Live, and opened for international acts including the Gipsy Kings and Easy Life.
