With a sound that pays homage to the emotive experimentalism of Grizzly Bear, unpredictable pop turns reminiscent of Sufjan Stevens and explosive rock bursts a la Radiohead, Static Frames singer/composer Nick Broadhurst has developed an experimental pop offering with lashings of post rock.
With two releases(Vivarium) 2011 and(Black Sand) 2012 through Swiss label Irascible the music has enjoyed solid attention from Swiss media and fans as well as commercial and alternative radio airplay followed with the singles Arlesheim and Black Sand. The single Black Sand has also been selected for several compilations including the Swiss Music Guide and Label Suisse’s Swiss Music Export. Several television performances and many radio performances were followed by club touring in Switzerland including performances at the renowned Swiss festivals alongside major artists. Caprices festival,For-noise festival,M4 music etc..
In 2016 Static Frames will release their new album for touring with a four piece live band.
