Biography
tiefton's interest in music developed at an early age. It all started when he received his first keyboard as a present and started to play it auto didactically when he was 7 years old.
Contrary to his mother's wishes he never wanted to take piano lessons because he feared that learning to read music would make him less creative and less able to improvise on the fly.
Instead, he preferred to work extensively with his sequencer on his first Yamaha workstation and with Cubase on the Atari. At the age of 30, tiefton finally discovered his passion for electronic music such as deep house and tech house. He found himself a sweet basement room in an industrial area, and set up his first studio. He then began to work intensively on advanced production techniques. With the remix of "Boy - Railway" tiefton shared one of his works publicly for the first time. Various other remixes and productions for the German singer Caro Holl followed soon there after. To better adapt his own productions to the needs of DJs, he also started DJing himself and has since released various sets through his channels.
tiefton is used to groove to various different styles of music/genres. His heart still belongs to the BoomBap HipHop of the 90s. In addition, he is also proliferous in working on new tracks under the pseudonym "tiefton". In contrast, these productions sound a bit more melancholic and can best be classified as progressive deep house.
Melancholy themes play an important role in many of tiefton's productions and reflect the way he wants to touch his listeners with his music. In contrast to the mostly deep mood of his compositions, his more groovy beats with lots of swing lends the listener tracks to dance to as well.
