A-J Hak is a trinational (Switzerland-Scotland-South Africa) musician, songwriter, and singer from Zurich Switzerland. As a son of a Scottish mother and a Swiss father he was born in Johannesburg South Africa in 1974 and grew up there the first couple of years of his life. Subsequently he moved to Switzerland with his family. He lives and acts in Zurich.
"White Shadows" is A-J Hak's second album. Already in 2002 he released his debut album "Moontigers in Transit" successfully; then still using the pseudonym AyJay. The radio single at that time, "The Bird", is still being played on radio and has currently also been included as a remastered version on "White Shadows". Twelve whole years have passed since the release of the last album. A time of growth, experience, of light and darkness. White Shadows is also an expression of this respective time of recognition and awakening. More mature and authentic; musically as also personally - hence the decision of laying down a virtual pseudonym.
The radio single release "Oh, Holy Night", also written by A-J Hak, appears as a subtle duet with the lovely singer Stella Cruz. A composition that fits the pre-Christmas period and Christmas time just perfectly.
A-J Hak's productions came into existence mainly with the exceptionally gifted musicians, composers and producers Manuel Rindlisbacher (Bourelly, Biggles, Dee Day Dub, Pippo Pollina, Dani König etc.) and Ephrem Luechinger (Heidi Happy, Dieter Meier 'Yello', Rusconi, William White, Dani König etc.).
