Elcano: Nautical Metal
In 1519, the Spanish fleet under captain-general Magellan and his boat master Elcano set off for the spice islands on the other side of the Earth. – Now, 500 years later, the band ELCANO is setting sails for the stages of Switzerland with a proud cargo of nautical metal!
Whilst capitán Elcano returned to Castile with a valuable freight of exotic spices, ELCANO’s vessel bears rocking and metallic tunes delivered by the crew with so much verve the timber decks of stages near and far bend under the weight. Here, something may remind you of Rammstein; there, something has a tinge of Van Halen; then, there’s a thunder of doom and throughout, the nautical metal of ELCANO keeps pulsing.
Of course, the show would never work without the treasure chest, the sail and the ship’s wheel there, on deck!
The crew consists of singer Josy Fine, the guitarists Marc Mystic and Florian Staubli, Jan Thomas (bass & growls), Christoph Zehnder (synthesizer) und Marc Bircher (drums).
