In the summer of 2011, a board of young visionaries led by CEO Matthieu "MDB" Siegenthaler came together in Basel, Switzerland and founded Empire Music. Fed up with the current state of Hip Hop and reminiscing the music of the mid-to-late nineties, they decided to work together to bring back the sound of the Golden Era. As if one lofty goal wasn't enough, Empire Music aims to be the first record label out of Switzerland to make an impact on the international Hip Hop industry. In order to achieve these ambitious goals, Empire unites greats of the Golden Era, renowned veteran producers and emerging talents all sharing a common ideal of Hip Hop.
