Keep It Short And Simple
Der Weg des geringsten Widerstands kann durchaus kurzfristigen Erfolg bedeuten. Aber was sagt das Herz dabei? Elenor sind keine Trittbrettfahrer, die auf kurzlebige Modezüge aufspringen um so schnell wie möglich ins Rampenlicht der glamourösen Medienwelt zu kommen.
Tabea Anderfuhren, Patrik Meier und Marc Scheidegger musizieren aus Überzeugung und mit viel Herzblut. Uramerikanische Musiktraditionen haben es den zwei Herren und der Dame am Mikrofon angetan. Geschickt verbinden die drei Vollblutmusiker akkustisch gespielten Americana mit verschiedenen Einflüssen zu einem homogenen Eigengebräu, das sich einerseits der Tradition verpflichtet fühlt, von puristischem Einerlei aber wenig hält und noch so gern über den Tellerrand hinausschaut.
«Keep It Short And Simple» ist die Methode, die sich Elenor für ihre musikalische Arbeit zu Herzen genommen haben. Die drei Schweizer setzen dabei auf grosse Wirkung mit kleinsten Mitteln. Gitarre, Mandoline, Bass und Dulcimer genügen, um Tabea Anderfuhrens wunderbar schwebender Stimme jenes Klangbett zu schaffen, in dem sie sich hörbar wohl fühlt.
In der grossen, weiten Welt der Oberflächlichkeiten und der Eitelkeiten fühlen sich Elenor nicht wirklich wohl. Ihnen geht es immer um gute Songs und Texte. «Ein guter Song transportiert Geschichten, die mich berühren sollen», erklärt Tabea Anderfuhren. Das war schon als Teenager so, als sie Folk und die Musik von Joan Baez entdeckte. Schon früh wurde ihr dank ihren grossen Vorbildern bewusst, wie gut sie Gefühle und Erlebnisse in eigenen Songs verarbeiten konnte. Mit 13 Jahren gründete die Frau aus dem Zürcher Tösstal ihre erste Band «Mace». Folk stand am Anfang ihres musikalischen Schaffens. Später erweiterte Tabea Anderfuhren ihr musikalisches Spektrum durch die Stile Bluegrass, Country, Swing und Irish Folk. Anfang 2008 produzierte die Zürcherin zusammen mit Aaron Till (USA) in Nashville ihr Debüt-Album«Who Can Ever Tell», das begeisterte Kritiken dies-und jenseits des grossen Teichs erntete und sofort von diversen Radiostationen in Europa, Nordamerika und Australien gespielt wurde. Auftritte und Interviews auf allen drei Kontinenten folgten.
In dieser Zeit tat sich Tabea Anderfuhren mit Marc Scheidegger und Patrik Meier zusammen. Dass die die drei MusikerInnen aus ganz unterschiedlichen musikalischen Welten kommen, sehen Elenor keineswegs als Nachteil, sondern als ganz grosse Chance an. Mit einer grossen Erfahrung im Rücken und den gleichen musikalischen Vorstellungen, verdichtet das Trio eigene Geschichten und ausgewählte Coverversionen zu einem harmonischen Ganzen, dem man gerne zuhört.
Das fast schon blinde Musikverständnis von Elenor wird auch auf der neuen CD zu hören sein, die 2012 erscheinen wird.
