The founders of the concept began by inviting friends to come musicians "jam" with them to the music of Toto, hence the name "totojam." At the time, the protagonists found themselves twice a month in the local music club CERN in Meyrin (GE). The encouraging results have prompted a desire to quickly get a real band. Few people felt able to challenge that required a lot of work for the music of Toto is very rich in melodies, harmonies and complex rhythms. Many have made a transition, but the group finally managed to create a solid base of players motivated and captivated by this music. The current structure, in its "core" consists of five musicians, a singer and two backup singers.
In September 2011, shortly after establishing the final formation of the group first private concert has validated that the group was popular with an eclectic audience. This was confirmed at the last festival of Rock Arare October 8, 2011 during which the warm welcome of the public was beyond the expectations of the group.
Totojam working to expand its repertoire drawing on many albums of Toto. The choice of pieces is made jointly by affinity but by listening to what the public expects.
