Zimbabwean in Switzerland, Vee Mukarati is a saxophonist, singer, composer and producer whose music fuses Afro-jazz, soul and Afro-pop into a modern, groove-driven sound. Influenced by his upbringing in Zimbabwe and his life as an immigrant, he writes and sings in Shona, Ndebele and English, crafting reflective songs about identity, hope and the realities of contemporary life.
Now based in Geneva, he leads the 12-piece ensemble “The Horn of Hope”, presenting original compositions and arrangements that move between Afrojazz, soul, afrobeat and reggae. His releases, including the album “Nyamavhuvhu Night Sounds” and the EP “Vital Signs”, have earned critical recognition and national awards, confirming his place as a distinctive voice in today’s Afro-jazz landscape
