AM-I is a one-person heavy music project by Steff Kerkhof. Post-Grunge meets Alternative-Rock meets Metal. Fat guitars. Melodic vocals. Songs that hit hard.
Steff has been making music for over 30 years. He started in grunge bands as a teenager, played punk rock in my twenties, toured Germany with postpunk band Lyyten, and spent the last four years working solo.
In those four years, he released over 140 songs under different names: Skyfire, Metafuture, Forever Mending Broken Hearts, ....
The name "Aftermath Index (AM-I)" reflects the project: measuring what's left after everything breaks down. After bands end. After touring stops. After the noise fades. What remains is the music. And the drive to keep making it.
