HOW IT ALL STARTED
Airvox emerged in 2011 from the Swiss music scene as an independent experiment, quickly developing into an influential musical voice that blends the essence of the 80s and 90s with timeless modernity. The breakthrough of Airvox came in 2013 when «Wave Goodbye» reached position 21 on the Swiss charts – a remarkable achievement for an independent project. «Flame of Life» confirmed this success, reaching position 28 in 2014/16.
THE MAN BEHIND THE PROJECT
Behind Airvox stands Tom Bloom, a versatile artist from Lucerne who composes, arranges, mixes, masters and plays all tracks. Tom's musical training is based on eight years of classical piano and over 30 years of synthesizer experience.
THE SOUND PHILOSOPHY
What distinguishes Airvox is not only their characteristic sound – a fusion of dance, pop, classical, and rock elements – but also their mission: to create music that both invites dancing and provokes thought. Tom's sonic landscape draws inspiration from legendary acts like ABBA, Alphaville, ELO, Giorgio Moroder, Jean Michel Jarre, OMD and the Pet Shop Boys.
