Alex Breahna is a Moldovan-born singer-songwriter based in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she has lived for over ten years. Trained from an early age in piano, music theory, and choir singing, she continued her musical education through various courses and workshops, notably at the Conservatoire of Lausanne and later at EJMA, where she is currently in a pre-HEM program, exploring jazz textures that she may integrate into her sound, inspired by artists such as Yseult, Raye, and Hozier.
Since 2020, she has been writing and composing in French, English, and Romanian, in a style that strives to be as sincere as possible, closely rooted in her lived human experience. Several tracks have been recorded between Moldova, France, and Switzerland, and her debut EP, The Things I’ll Never Tell You, received critical recognition and earned her the Friends of EJMA Award. A studio residency at Artefax, obtained in 2025 through a grant offered by the City of Lausanne, also marked an important step in her artistic development.
Her live presence in French-speaking Switzerland is currently growing, notably through the OnStage (EJMA Live) program, which supports her artistic development as a performer.
Her artistic universe is shaped by absence, introspection, fleeting passions, and perhaps a longing to stop time.
