Amayli is the latest studio project by Swiss guitarist and producer Andy Bopp, blending guitar-driven Afrobeat rhythms with soulful melodies, Latin influences, modern song structures, and elements of funk, pop, and R&B. At its core, the project thrives on collaborations with vocalists and musicians from across continents, bringing together a rich palette of global sounds and cultural expressions.
Designed as a flexible and evolving studio concept, Amayli features changing line-ups of artists from Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. This approach allows for a dynamic sound – sometimes urban and groove-heavy, sometimes warm, organic, and danceable.
Some tracks are released under Andy Bopp & Friends, especially those with a more personal or experimental character. Amayli, by contrast, serves as the umbrella brand for songs with international hit potential, reflecting a more polished, genre-crossing production style.
The debut single “Jejely”, created in collaboration with Nigerian vocalist Annie Daymar, introduced the project with a vibrant Afro-Pop track infused with Latin flair. The follow-up release “Burst My Medulla” marks a new chapter, this time featuring The Ghost – a flow-driven Afrobeat vocalist known for his rhythmic ease, laid-back delivery, and stylistic authenticity, more focused on groove and feel than classic vocal performance.
With more voices and collaborations on the horizon, Amayli remains open, global, and constantly evolving – a creative space where borders dissolve and music speaks universally.
