Biography
Angelheart was formed in 2000. Their debut album featured an English version of the Swiss “Guggisberg” song, which has since established itself on Radio play-lists. After four studio albums, various TV appearances and over 100 live shows, Paul Etterlin and Janine Amberg decided to take a short recess. In the fall of 2006 they decided to embark on a new musical adventure with the addition of Thomas Krebs.
Paul Etterlin has been a fully professional musician since 1980 encompassing styles ranging from classical to rock. He was the MD of the Wild Hearts, toured with the Steve Thompson Band and is also the founder of Angelheart. He is also employed as Professor of Music by the Paedagogische Hochschule and also at the Musikhochschule Lucerne.
Janine Amberg has studied vocals for four years with an American opera singer. Since 1982 she fronted several bands. As Janet La Rose she celebrated considerable success with the band Allison whose song Dreams of Glory turned into the 1994 Football World Cup hymn of the German TV station ARD. This achievement was followed by numerous TV appearances, at home and abroad, over 80 live gigs, including in venues such as the ST Jakob stadium in Basel with Thunder, Van Halen and Bon Jovi.
Thomas Krebs has always been a rock'n'roller at heart and he participated in several schoolbands in his younger years. He later studied classical vocals at the Conservatoire in Bern. As frontman in various bands such as Seaside, Swiss Cocktail Ltd., and particularly with Soho - finalists in the “Goldener Scheinwerfer” and the “Kleiner PrixWalo” - he created quite a stir in the Swiss Rock-scene.
