Angelo Ticli is an Italian-Swiss singer-songwriter, rock vocalist, guitarist, and bassist born in Lausanne, with a deep connection to his Sicilian roots in Grammichele. With more than forty years of passion for music behind him, Angelo has created a world where the power of American hard rock meets the melodic soul and elegance of Italy.
Inspired by legendary bands such as Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Skid Row, and Guns N’ Roses, Angelo delivers music that is honest, energetic, and deeply human. His songs explore love, freedom, faith, resilience, rebirth, and second chances. Every track comes from a real emotion, a meaningful encounter, or a defining chapter of his life.
After playing guitar with the band SINONIMO, notably on the song “Tornerai,” Angelo launched his solo career with tracks such as “Cuore di Fuoco,” “Solo l’Amore Vincerà,” and “She’s My Fire.” “Cuore di Fuoco” reached number one on the MEI Top Sound chart for two consecutive weeks, marking an important milestone in his artistic journey.
To bring a professional and international edge to his music, Angelo surrounds himself with some of the most respected musicians, producers, and sound engineers in the rock scene.
One of his most significant collaborators is Fabrizio “Simoncia” Simoncioni, an internationally renowned sound engineer, producer, musician, and arranger. A major figure in Italian rock, Fabrizio has worked with Litfiba, Ligabue, Negrita, and many other Italian and international artists. Throughout his prestigious career, he has earned dozens of platinum records, more than one hundred gold records, and a Latin Grammy nomination. Angelo had the privilege of recording “Cuore di Fuoco” at DPoT Recording Arts in Prato under Fabrizio’s experienced and demanding guidance.
Angelo also works with Matteo “Zola” Niccolai, sound engineer for the legendary Italian rock band Litfiba.
Another defining relationship in Angelo’s journey is his collaboration with Serge Fernex, a highly accomplished sound engineer and artistic director known for his sensitivity and musical vision. Throughout his career, Serge has worked with international icons such as Phil Collins and celebrated producer Trevor Horn. At Studio du Régent in Crans-Montana, he guides Angelo with focused attention, a deep understanding of music, and a constant search for the most authentic emotion.
For vocal recording, mixing, and mastering, Angelo works with Alessandro Del Vecchio at Ivorytears Music Works Studio in Somma Lombardo. An internationally recognized producer, songwriter, singer, and keyboardist, Alessandro is one of the most respected names in the global hard rock and melodic rock scene. His artistic vision, precision, and generosity help give Angelo’s songs a powerful, modern, and international sound.
Angelo also has the honor of performing and recording with Giuseppe Scarpato, lead guitarist, arranger, and longtime producer for Edoardo Bennato. His touch, experience, and ability to make every note speak bring extraordinary depth to Angelo’s music.
On guitar, Angelo also collaborates with Angela Massafra, a talented, precise, and passionate musician who blends raw rock power with elegance and sensitivity. Her playing is an important part of the sonic identity behind Angelo’s productions.
He has also worked with Antonello D’Urso, a highly experienced guitarist, arranger, and programmer whose credits include Vasco Rossi, Luca Carboni, Franco Battiato, Alice, and Angelo Branduardi. His versatility and deep musical knowledge make him an invaluable collaborator.
On bass, Angelo has shared the music with Daniele “Barny” Bagni, the legendary former bassist of Litfiba, whose powerful and instantly recognizable playing has left a lasting mark on Italian rock.
He also collaborates with Andrea Torresani, bassist for Vasco Rossi and a remarkably solid musician with an undeniable groove and a commanding stage presence.
Angelo also works with internationally renowned bassist Pierluigi Mingotti, who has performed with Loredana Bertè and the celebrated trio Il Volo. Throughout his impressive career, Pierluigi has also played with Francesco Guccini, Gianni Morandi, Mario Biondi, Fiorella Mannoia, and many other major artists. His experience, musical elegance, and rock-solid playing bring a powerful yet refined foundation to Angelo’s songs.
On drums, Angelo collaborates with Ivano Zanotti, a musician known for his power, precision, and outstanding musicality. Ivano has performed alongside Luciano Ligabue and Loredana Bertè, also serving as Bertè’s musical director. His credits include collaborations with Federico Poggipollini, Maurizio Solieri, Eugenio Finardi, Alan Sorrenti, and Anna Oxa. His experience and explosive playing bring pure rock energy to Angelo’s music.
Angelo has also worked with Christian Tabita, a professional drummer specializing in hard rock and heavy metal and a member of the band Nastyville. His hard-hitting, powerful, and energetic style made a strong impact on the recording sessions at DPoT Recording Arts in Prato.
On keyboards, Giuseppe De Marco holds a very special place in Angelo’s musical story. A childhood friend, Giuseppe has shared nearly thirty years of music, friendship, and passion with Angelo. His melodic instinct, sensitivity, and deep understanding of Angelo’s artistic world enrich every arrangement.
On saxophone, Emanuel Ciancia “Mr. Hollywood” brings a unique, warm, and expressive color to the music. His instinctive and passionate playing creates an original connection between the roots of rock, the soul of the blues, and more modern sounds.
Maria Covello is also part of Angelo’s musical journey on piano and backing vocals. Her sensitivity, elegance, and deeply honest performance give “Solo l’Amore Vincerà” a profoundly human and emotional dimension.
Alongside his solo career, Angelo is the bassist and co-founder of the international rock project STREAMBREED, created with Mark Lee, a charismatic vocalist with a powerful voice, and Dave Wild, a guitarist with a direct and authentic rock style. The project also features Sickyy Lyo on guitars, Giuseppe De Marco on keyboards, and Alan Montanari on drums. Together, they recorded a high-energy version of Glenn Hughes’ “Soul Mover.”
