In the dazzling mists of music history, we find the beginnings of AR.MA.DA in the form of a school band that went by the modest name of "No Nuts No Glory". This formation, consisting of the talented minds of Marco, Maik, Daniele and Roman from picturesque Ebikon, Lucerne, was more than just a group of young people – they were dreamers who wanted to conquer the world with every note. But in 2011, after a series of passionate performances, Roman decided to go his own way. At this moment of change, Armando joined the band and brought a breath of fresh air.
Rehearsals were intense, pulsating and full of creative energy, but the band was still nameless, a blank slate in the music landscape. When fate struck and their rehearsal room fell victim to a devastating fire, this loss became a source of inspiration. In 2012, the band was officially launched as "Marmorata Wasteland", a name that referred both to the ruins of their rehearsal room and to an impressive logo depicting a fish – a symbol of survival in rough waters.
The years passed, and Marmorata Wasteland came into focus on the Swiss music scene. With almost 50 performances, they gained valuable stage experience that shaped their artistic development. But the international spotlight remained elusive. The lengthy band name increasingly proved to be an obstacle. In a bold move, the members decided to reinvent themselves and slipped into the fresh guise of AR.MA.DA. With this new name, the band experienced a renaissance that allowed them to revive their EP from Marmorata Wasteland and perform live more frequently again.
AR.MA.DA from Ebikon is more than just a band. They are a kaleidoscope of sounds, known for their versatility and adaptability. Whether acoustic or electric, they master every performance with flying colours and give their shows a distinctive touch. Their songs are like emotional journeys that explore experiences, dreams and desires. Often a mixture of fiction and reality. Genre boundaries are nothing more than fleeting lines for them. They move effortlessly between alternative punk rock, Irish folk punk, indie rock, punk rock and hard rock. This unique mixture brings back memories of bands like Rancid and Flogging Molly.
With their lively presence and dynamic performances, AR.MA.DA captivates audiences as they tell stories that touch the heart and make the soul dance. A band that never stands still, but is always on the lookout for the next adventure in the infinite world of music.
