Before Arto Cola, Augustin von Arx and Léonard Persoz had already shared more than a decade of music making together, both on stage and in the studio. Founding members of some of the most distinctive acts on the Swiss French-speaking scene, including Magic & Naked and Le Roi Angus, they have played more than 400 shows together, appearing at festivals such as Paléo and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Over the years, they refined a distinctive sonic signature, leading to Arto Cola, a space of freedom where the different facets of their journey as musicians, producers and arrangers converge. Truly singular and playful, their work takes the form of pop in perpetual flux, where influences from R&B, funk and soul blend freely and naturally with metal guitars.
