Pierre-Alain Gogniat - Music and songs
From 6 to 12 years, violin and then classical piano.
At 14, I joined the band Souled Out as a bassist. Jean-Marie Gogniat and Michel Bourquin on guitars, Jean-Marc Roth, then Michel Jaussi on drums, Souled Out performs tracks by (The) Kings, Beachboys, Doors, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Who, Hendrix, Cream, Soft Machine, Pink Floyd among others.
Michel Bourquin is replaced by Marino Maillard who takes the bass. I move on to the keyboards. This is the beginning of personal compositions. Souled Out performs live in Switzerland and France with a visit to the Golf Drouot in Paris. A record is made.
Title Aumether (2 tracks "Citadelle d'illusion" and "Vibration de terre"). Released on vinyl in 2013/2014. Links:

Then I take the bass in the band Return (Jean-Jacques Tharin, guitar, Philippe Tharin, drums, Jean-François Chételat, Hammond organ) for some concerts and a passage on TV Suisse. After leaving Return, I occasionally play in other bands as the proposals progress and participate in the production of various records
The world of images (photography, films, multimedia) fascinates me as much as that of music. Finally, it is the professional activities of documentary film directors and multimedia productions that take over. Music is never very far away (children’s songs, film scores, choral singing) and, better late than never, in 2003, I started to write texts in French! New songs are born. Stories of encounters, reflections on the world, milestones of a life path with many meanders and particularly enriching.
Today, freed from my professional activities, I come back with pleasure and more availability to the music to put a final touch to my songs that remained in the state of mock-ups. The technical means have evolved, I take this opportunity to create new orchestrations, which will appear in the specific "Le Beau Son de X" playlists.
