NEW in 2026 - PROJECT INFO - THE LABEL: BEAU SON DE X - BIO
pierre-alain gogniat - author, composer, performer. producer Label Beau Son de X
The technical means useful to my musical creation have evolved. This allows me to present to you today some brand new songs, new music as well as the re-orchestration of a good number of tracks already presented on my profile Mx 3, which had remained at the stage of mock-ups and are now finalized. Another novelty, the label Beau Son de X, a personal label created precisely to promote my entire production, about fifty titles, but also to encourage interactions with other artists and/or labels. In the playlist "BEAU SON DE X" some audio information is waiting for you. Like the playlist "DIFFERENCE", in which you will discover 6 tracks (3 new and 3 re-orchestrated), the names of the new playlists are written in capital letters.
METHOD OF MUSICAL COMPOSITION with measured integration of generative AI
Description:
Generative artificial intelligence must not replace human creative qualities (author, composer, arranger, sound engineer, etc.), but must remain a tool for inspiration and musical embedding controlled according to three essential principles:
- controlled co-creation: the artist sets the rules, the limits, and retains control over intent and choices
- proportionality: the AI intervenes according to a defined percentage adjusted according to the specificities of each work
- Creative traceability: each step of the creation process can be documented to ensure transparency and integrity.
A method that aims to be a clear path, for artists and technicians, but also for the organizations concerned by the distribution of copyright. The way of a responsible creation where the human remains at the center of the creative process, master of his choices, his style, his sound identity. AI is part of the continuity of technical innovations that have shaped musical history, from acoustic instruments to synthesizers, from multi-track recorders to audio stationsdigital, the use with measure allows to expand the creative palette without diluting or crowding out human identity in the development of a musical work.
Creative elements composing my audio files: human part (h), generative-based part (AI)
1. Author: writing, lyrics of a song (h)
2. Composer: work of composition of the music, definition of the structure, harmonic, rhythmic and melodic lines (h)
3. Model interpreter: development of the audio model with real instruments, an arranger keyboard, technical means of recording and editing (h)
4. Voice: pose of a pilot voice (phrasing, intonation, style) (h)
5. Generative AI: the mockup wav file with the pilot voice is introduced into the AI. To obtain the desired orchestral versions or define the voice(s) (male, female, vocal features), prompts (directives) are given to the AI. The versions thus generated must best reproduce the style, the artistic intentions of the model, and the prompts (AI). It is often necessary to generate several versions to achieve a very good result. Some versions may contain technical bugs or artistic "drifts", sometimes surprising.
6. Finalization: Sound engineer, recording of another voice (h)* file verification, mastering (h).
* Option: You can choose to keep a voice generated by the AI or to delete it and replace it with a human voice.
The AI’s role in creating such a song corresponds to position 2 of the Dalia thermometer (https://daliascale.org).
In other words: between 4/5 and 3/4 constitute the human part and between 1/5 and 1/4 (AI voice pose or not) constitute the AI part.
Musical background (pierre-alain gogniat)
From 6 to 12 years, violin and then classical piano.
At 14, I joined the band Souled Out as a bassist. Jean-Marie Gogniat and Michel Bourquin on guitars, Jean-Marc Roth, then Michel Jaussi on drums, Souled Out performs tracks by (The) Kings, Beachboys, Doors, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Who, Hendrix, Cream, Soft Machine, Pink Floyd among others.
Michel Bourquin is replaced by Marino Maillard who takes the bass. I move on to the keyboards. This is the beginning of personal compositions. Souled Out performs live in Switzerland and France with a visit to the Golf Drouot in Paris. A record is made.
Title Aumether (2 tracks "Citadelle d'illusion" and "Vibration de terre"). Released on vinyl in 2013/2014. Links:

Then, I take the bass in the band Return (Jean-Jacques Tharin, guitar, Philippe Tharin, drums, Jean-François Chételat, Hammond organ) for some concerts and a passage on TV Suisse. After leaving Return, I occasionally play in other bands as the proposals progress and participate in the production of various records (arrangement and orchestration for Brigitte Grange, advertising disc Minuit Dix, Cristal Cadence, etc.).
The world of images (photography, films, multimedia) fascinates me as much as that of music. Finally, it is the professional activities of documentary film directors and multimedia productions that take over. Music is never very far away (children’s songs, film scores, choral singing) and, better late than never, in 2003, I started to write texts in French! New songs are born. Stories of encounters, reflections on the world, milestones of a life path with many meanders and particularly enriching.
Today, freed from my professional activities, I come back with pleasure and more availability to the music to put a final touch to my songs that remained in the state of mock-ups. The technical means have evolved, I take this opportunity to create new orchestrations, which appear in the specific playlists "BEAU SON DE X".
