Boys and girls? Well, rather mature, greying or balding gentlemen with charming female support, whose sound, like excellent red wine, sounds richer, fuller and more opulent from year to year. Legendary is their casual mix of street sweepers and trouvailles by lesser-known artists, of soulful standards and modern electronic grooves that drive you to your feet. The fact that the "Ash-Lees" also like to take the mickey out of themselves live makes an evening in their company an all-round successful audiovisual experience.
