Biography

The first time the band Askara was heard of was in May 3013 when they released a Song on the sampler "Heavy Metal Nation IX" at Quam Libet Records. Since then, Askara continued to work an new material and took the audience of each concert along to a journey through the elements of progressive Gothic Metal. In October 2016 the first release of a cd is due: with „Horizon of Hope“ a small album is being released playing 8 songs and around 41 minutes running time, packed into an artistic cencept-artwork and a 12 page booklet.

Symbolic for the music of the band stands the name "Askara": As the bird in the writing so does the music itself rise out of dismal depths, reaches freedom, cleansing through fire, falls deep only to oscillate even higher. Elevation, vastness and commitment in sound. On the wings of its music the band spreads its fin.
