In the homeland of Schranz, BAM HILL experienced the heyday of underground techno at a time when techno was still about the music. From 1997 onwards, a love for electronic music burned into every fiber of his being, and instead of just listening to it, he became techno.
When the scene began to soften, he started producing music himself because what was available was no longer enough for him and was moving further and further away from its origins.
Since BAM HILL is all about the love of techno, with all its facets and styles, he never allowed himself to be pigeonholed into one school, but served the entire spectrum. He was particularly inspired in his productions by greats such as Carl Cox and Green Velvet.
Whether house, schranz, acid, dubstep, or underground, he created unique, driving, and unusual rhythms for each of these styles.
Through his special use of hi-hats, he has created a kind of signature beat that can now be heard globally at all electronic music festivals.
With his special, dynamic beats, he has already served as a “ghostwriter” for several well-known greats.
He was never interested in fame or notoriety, but only in sharing his art with the masses, bringing techno back to its roots, and getting the crowd dancing again instead of just posing.
Through his own party experiences, BAM HILL knows exactly what DJs need and what dancers want—and that's exactly what he gives them.
It's time to forget about soft-washed hands-up techno and revive the underground to get the foundations shaking again.
