Breakplus started his musical journey at an early age, during the golden era of Hip Hop. His love for Hip Hop culture got him into collecting all kinds of records and eventually djing, travelling through time and space with each vinyl purchased. He then had to push the experiment further with beatmaking, buying an MPC. One day, he was asked by long-time friend and master Ianeq to join the crew he was putting together: the Digital Love Squad. Alongside Keena, Ianeq and Beatnik, Breakplus rocked the crowd in various locations around Switzerland, with the Squad's final show in 2004 at the Montreux Jazz Festival, warming up for Jaylib (RIP J Dilla) and Roots Manuva. Meanwhile, Breakplus and Beatnik decided they would join forces and sample libraries to start the Thieves Of Time project. They released "Time Machine" their first single, in 2005, on their own Other Worlds Records. It was played by the likes of Gilles Peterson on his BBC1 WorldWide Show, and well supported throughout the world. Last but not least, Breakplus was selected to participate to the Red Bull Music Academy in 2005, in Seattle. His current projects include the next Thieves Of Time single, to be released in march 2007, and the LP scheduled later the same year. Breakplus is also collaborating with various artists like Moyo, Anya and Le Gens. Finally, djing is always a pleasure for him, even more so when he takes his trusty MPC alongside the turntables, to provide the audience with extra-planetary experiences, wether it is in Prague, Istanbul or London.
