We created Bunkr in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 2014.. The choice of a duo acts as a positive constraint, forcing us out of our comfort zone and into the exploration of unusual sounds and structures. Our musical inspirations range far and wide, from Cult of Luna and John Coltrane to Serge Gainsbourg. We take it from there and explore music, seeking to find a middle ground, adding to the mix the sounds we love: fat and heavy guitar riffs, hypnotic ambiant soundscapes, manky noise-rock.
Although our music may seem somewhat cold at first glance, it is also full of the energy and complicity we have developped over the years spent playing together.
We co-created our first band, Desert Hobo, in 2011. It was a fantastic playground. Currently Iannis is also drummer/lumberjack with Sxocondo and Aperitif, and Kevin axe meister general with AndA A AndA.
According to Jonathan Nido (Coilguns/Closet Disco Queen): "Another duo of fools composed of Iannis "musclor" Valgini on drums and Kevin "The smooth match" with a guitar sound as thick as his pornographic hair. It obviously has no more to do with talent than with the delicious underarm smell of Iannis "Vulvor" Masclini. What's for sure is that they send a serious kick in live, hard to say exactly what they're jerking off; there's guitar, drums and that's great!"
