Two voices in slow orbit, analog echo blurring the edges, somewhere in the dark a singing saw: Bye Bye Maxwell make cosmic indie pop in Bern, Switzerland.
Sandy Stadler (vocals, synths, keys) and Bänz Isler (vocals, guitar) share every lead; Flo Hufschmid plays drums. Their first single "Überau", with Bernese rapper Nativ, is the theme song of the Swiss documentary series "The Belonging" — Bänz co-created and co-directed the series, Sandy composed its score. Day jobs: film composers. Night job: this band.
The debut EP arrives in autumn 2026, produced by Marty Hailey at Metro 13 Music Studio in Edinburgh — vintage instruments, modern production. Somewhere in the band's songbook, a children's choir sings "We are the future, and you are not."
The name waves goodbye to Maxwell's demon, the tireless sorter of things into boxes.
