Born from a chance encounter and united by a shared passion for music, Jenny Weishaupt and Martin Volken formed the acoustic duo BYJENCE in late 2022. Since then, they have been captivating audiences with authentic vocals, distinctive guitar work and a natural chemistry that shines through in every performance.
Blending folk, singer-songwriter and acoustic rock, BYJENCE creates a sound that feels both intimate and surprisingly powerful. Jenny’s expressive lead vocals bring emotional depth to carefully selected covers and original songs, while Martin’s distinctive guitar playing, backing vocals and stompbox add rhythm, texture and drive.
Whether on a small stage, at a cultural event or in a unique setting, BYJENCE delivers honest, handcrafted music with genuine energy and a strong connection to the audience. Their combined years of musical experience are evident in every performance, yet the duo never loses the spontaneity and joy that make their live shows so engaging.
While selected covers remain part of their repertoire, BYJENCE is increasingly focusing on original material. The duo is currently recording its first EP, featuring songs that capture their musical identity: honest stories, memorable melodies and a distinctive blend of folk-inspired warmth and rock-infused energy.
