In early 2011, the paths of five fairly different individuals cross each other in a curious and seemingly random manner, five subjects with one unifying passion: music. After a year mainly spent on developing their own unmistakeable sound rather than just assuming a predefined position in the landscape of music genres, and building a loyal fanbase at a bunch of small to medium local concerts, Cachét released their first self-titled EP in October 2012.
While hard to define, it is most appropriately put into the Folk or maybe Folk Rock drawer, but either way is an unmistakeable and promising demonstration of their talent and determination, even more so considering it was recorded entirely on their own, in their own practice room/studio.
This five-track EP and recent unforgettable gigs like the one at Gurtenfestival 2013 outline a great future for this Swiss five-piece, and make waiting for their next release almost unbearable!
