CALADMOR ist aus der 2001 gegründeten Band Pale entstanden. Nach den vielen Jahren des Zusammenspiels und nach vielen Experimenten in verschiedenste Richtung hat sich eine ganz spezielle Art von Musik herauskristallisiert, die sich an Gothic Metal und Folk anlehnt, jedoch immer eigensinnig bleibt. Der rote Faden bildet die charismatische Stimme der Frontfrau Barbara, die immer wieder im spannenden Gegenspiel mit den Vocals und Growls von Drummer Maede zu hören ist. Obwohl keine Schubladenmusik ist die Musik von Caladmor eingängig, sie reisst mit und berührt. Bereits als Pale konnten die Zürcher damit einige Erfolge verzeichnen: So wurde zum Beispiel ein Prerecording des Songs 'Midwinter' auf der Compilation des deutschen Magazins ‚Orkus’ veröffentlicht und ein Auslandkonzert in Prag vor vollem Hause gespielt. Mit dem Hinzukommen von Plaeschy als weiterer Gitarrist im Herbst 2009 ist die Band auch betreffend Line Up wieder komplett und somit bereit, die Bühnen zu rocken.
CALADMOR was born from the band Pale which was founded in 2001. Throughout all these years of playing together the sound of the band has gone through a long development. The result is a certain particular sound, reminding of Gothic and Folk Metal, but it always shows a touch of peculiarity. The common ground of all of their songs is the charismatic voice of front singer Barbara, which builds a stirring contrast to the vocals and growls of drummer Maede. Although it’s difficult to put the style of Caladmor in a certain edge, this doesn’t mean that their music isn’t going straight to the listener’s ears, mind and heart. Already as Pale the band could celebrate several successes, such as playing a gig abroad (Prague, full house!) and having a prerecording on the CD-Sampler of Germany’s well-known Gothic magazine ‘Orkus’. After Plaeschy joined the band in autumn 2009 as a second guitar player, the line up is now complete and CALADMOR is ready to enter the stages!
