Biography

'Golden Matrix' is the 2nd CD by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist CARUSO. Already with the debut album 'Honeymoon Deluxe' he delivered a varied and grandiose statement in terms of chill music 3 years ago. 'Golden Matrix' now shows CARUSO in top form. The Cooperation with the hammered dulcimer player Roland Schiltknecht and saxophonist Florian Egli was intensified and the result is a fantastic exciting sound and groove experience at the highest level. The virtuosic, soulful guitar sound paired with irresistible grooves and beats sounds modern and old fashioned at the same time. No contradiction, because it is in spite of digital technology always musical craft pure . Mediterranean feel and alpine sounds blend together to create a tradition committed mixture without drifting into any folklore pattern.
The spherical, melodic and rhythmic sounds draw the listener into its spell. The style ranges from soft, gentle ambient bonds on ethno - blues influences to groovy - chill deep house -like digressions. The music of Caruso remains organically despite the use of electronic elements, and offers plenty of room for improvisation and interpretation.
