The passionate trio (Manuel Früh (Bass/Vocals), Marcel Zilic (Guitars) and Nik Naumann (Drums)), which exists since 2001 in this form, captivates through its fabulous live performances, which enthuse the audience with their enormous energy and power.
The music has meanwhile developed to fast, catchy death metal. Strong US-metal influences combined with grindcore / brutal death and stop-and-go parts are characteristic for the distinctive hard sound of censored.
The lyrics on the other hand range from philosophical to political and socio-critical statements.
The two albums already published („censored-red edition“ and „system disease“) in the meantime have brought the band more than 80 concerts at home and abroad.
In Switzerland the trio played in addtion to countless gigs also at some well known metal-events, as the Mountains of Death Festival, the Hellvetia Day 2, the Heavymetal.ch-Festival, the Schwermetall.ch-Festival and the Bleeding Forest Open Air.
Outside of Switzerland the band toured three times (Kurva-Pivo-Tour with concerts in I, SLO, SK, PL, CZ, Western European Tour with concerts in D, B, E and the “End of the Violent System”-Tour in F and E), and played several gigs, through wich censored could raise their high profile and their popularity significantly.
Absolute highlights were, besides the concert in Gerona (E), the Krhanice Open Air (CZ) and the Soul Grinding Festival in Strassbourg (F).
The record release party for the third album with the title „in-existence“ took place on September, the 30th 2006 at the Dynamo in Zürich and has been presented to the public and the press.
Of course the trio hopes to find big favour with the new album, and are also looking for corresponding distribution, a suitable label as well as additional gigs.
Eventually the years 2007 and 2008 became the years of the minitours which lead the band to Spain, Holland and England.
