8, Christoph Maurer took classical piano lessons with Heiner Reitz and later guitar lessons with Sacha Leuenberger (Selfish, The BossHoss). In the 1980s and 1990s, he played in various early bands with Annatina Escher (Co Streiff, Tinu Heiniger), Christian Riesen (Selfish, Baschi, Bligg), and Rolf Saxer (Saalschutz). He has written lyrics for Christian Riesen (performed by Valeska Steiner, Daniela Sarda, Lea Lu), among others.
In recent years, he has mainly been on the road with the acoustic quartet Country Code (with Andrew Whiteside, Cary Siress, and Martina Imlig) and the integration music and theater project My-Now, with Goran Ivkovic (Surrism, Satisfactory), among others.
