Biography
Christoph Siegenthaler was born on the 8th of January 1979 in Burgdorf, Switzerland. His father and his brother (both play trombone) are the only ones in the family playing music actively. At the age of nine Christoph receives a keyboard and he started to take lessons. At the age of 16, he changed to the piano. After studying commercial artist, he decided to make the music to his profession.
He studied at the Hochschule der Künste Bern (Swiss Jazz School) in Berne, Switzerland, where he graduated in 2007. He studied with Günter Kühlwein, William Evans and Manuel Bärtsch.
Christoph attended Workshops led by Michael Brecker, Bruce Barth, Art Lande, Paul McCandless (Oregon), Darmon Meader (New York Voices), Ernie Watts, Janek Gwizdala, Bill Cobham, Enrico Pieranunzi and he performed togehter with Francois and Louis Moutin.
