onyZ is a musician with depth. With her warm, sonorous voice and a great sensitivity for subtle nuances, she writes and sings in Swiss German dialect. Stylistically, she moves between soul, pop, funk, gospel, and jazz, carried by strong melodies and honest lyrics.
Her songs emerge from life itself: from encounters, observations of society, and the small moments of everyday life. Professionally, ConyZ worked for many years in social and educational fields. These experiences shape her music just as much as her artistic training. Music runs through her life like a common thread, as a form of expression, a source of strength, and a language.
ConyZ is interested in what moves people: dignity, justice, and humanity. Her lyrics are sometimes cheeky, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes sad, and mostly encouraging.
Music has accompanied her since early childhood. Over the years, she gained diverse stage experience in different formations, including a New Orleans blues band as well as a duo with pianists. These musical encounters shaped her approach to groove, expression, and musical interplay. In addition, she deepened her artistic work through music studies in Bern.
With her current project, ConyZ is gradually releasing her songs. The productions were created in collaboration with experienced musicians and dancers, combining musical quality with a tangible joy in creating together.
