Indie alternative-pop artist Cori aims to create an ethereal soundscape by delving into the backstories of her mind and sculpting mainly synths, piano, guitar and her voice into what she calls melancholy ripples. Inspired by the likes of Feist, Iron and Wine, Agnes Obel and Joni Mitchell, Cori started to write songs and co-produce tracks when she returned home from her long time musical studies in the US - some of her debut songs inevitably found airplay in the Swiss radio.
“The Riddle” is her debut EP featuring songs she crafted during midnight hours – for the songwriter the perfect time to put on the kettle and bundle up her ideas. While “The Riddle” and “Enya” are songs more pulsating and vibrant driving towards the inexorably release “I can see the storm comes to fall, it brings along a thousand songs”, the track “Home” comes across as a rather innocent homage to love exceeding boundaries.
